Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global commercial real estate advisory firm, has announced that it is strengthening its presence in the Central and Eastern European region. The firm is committed to providing outstanding service to its clients in the region and to developing strategic partnerships with key developers in the region.
One of the most prominent current projects in which Cushman & Wakefield is involved is the Parkside Residence in Budapest and the associated 152-room Staybridge Suites Budapest – Parkside hotel, which is being developed by the Czech-based Urban Developers and Investors Group (UDI Group). Construction will start in 2025 and the hotel will open in 2027. The hotel will operate under a franchise partnership with Mogotel Hotel Group and will be a significant milestone as it will be the first Staybridge Suites branded hotel in Hungary.
The 152-room hotel will be located in Budapest’s XIII district, close to Váci út, one of the capital’s most important business corridors. The hotel is ideally located to provide excellent accessibility not only for business travellers, but also to leisure guests. The picturesque Margaret Island, the lively Óbuda Island and the famous Városliget, where the Széchenyi Baths are also located, are nearby.
The general contractor for the Parkside Residence project is Bernecker Zrt., a company with more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry. The company has developed sustainable and innovative solutions to ensure that the residential complex and the hotel meet the highest quality standards. The apartments will have an A+ energy rating and will be equipped with a heat pump ceiling cooling-heating system, which will contribute to low maintenance costs.
Commenting on the project, Cushman & Wakefield said that the real estate market in the region is growing dynamically, with an increasing demand for premium quality hotels and residential properties. The company aims to further strengthen its role in the Central and Eastern European real estate market and actively support large-scale developments such as Staybridge Suites Budapest – Parkside and Parkside Residence.
